The goal of the Academy has been to create an awareness of mediation, that there is a better way to resolve differences than the adversarial system, which tells society that differences can be resolved only if you are prepared to go to battle. Former Chief Justice Warren E. Burger declared that our legal system \u201chas become too costly, too painful, too destructive, too inefficient for a truly civilized people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elena Koltsaki sits as of October 2018 as the Vice President International of INADR.
